Customs & Clearance Policy

Customs & Clearance Policy

This page explains how international customs clearance is handled for watch shipments to the United States and other regions. The policy outlines the standard process, tax handling approach, and how issues such as clearance delays or seizures are managed.

Duty & Tax Handling

Dedicated Shipping Lines With Included Tax

Most shipments are arranged through dedicated shipping lines that include duty handling as part of the logistics service.

  • The shipping line normally includes applicable import tax within the service.

  • Customers are generally not required to pay additional import duties upon delivery.

This approach helps simplify the international shipping experience and reduces the need for customer involvement in customs procedures.

Standard Customs Clearance Process

International shipments follow a standard clearance workflow after departure.

1. Air Arrival

The shipment first arrives at the destination country through an international air route.

2. Customs Declaration

The logistics partner submits shipment information to local customs authorities for declaration.

3. Clearance Review

Customs officials review the declared shipment information.

4. Release to Local Carrier

After approval, the shipment is released and transferred to a local delivery carrier for final delivery.

If Customs Clearance Fails

In rare situations, customs clearance may not be completed successfully.

When this happens:

  • Our team will communicate with the carrier and the clearance channel.

  • We will attempt to resolve the clearance issue through the logistics provider.

If the issue cannot be resolved:

  • The customer may choose a free reshipment, or

  • Request a refund.

Customs Seizure Handling

If a shipment is held or seized by customs authorities:

  • Customers do not need to contact customs or take action.

  • Our logistics team will manage communication with the shipping partner.

If the shipment is confirmed to be unrecoverable or cannot be released:

Special Clearance Strategies by Region

Different regions may use different logistics approaches to improve delivery stability.

Brazil

Shipments may use priority tariff-code routes.

Middle East

Specialized clearance channels may be used for shipments to this region.

Nordic Countries

Courier-based shipping routes are often preferred.

Sensitive Declaration Strategy

For certain shipments, logistics partners may apply specific declaration methods to reduce processing complexity.

These may include:

  • Using low-sensitivity product categories in declarations

  • Avoiding brand-sensitive wording in shipment documentation
